Colour Palette

Red Paint

Red is the dominant colour of Chinese New Year because it symbolizes good luck, prosperity, and happiness. Rooted in ancient folklore, red was believed to ward off the monster “Nian,” who feared the color along with fire and loud noises, giving rise to traditions like red decorations and firecrackers. Beyond its protective meaning, red also creates a festive and vibrant atmosphere, making it the perfect colour to welcome new beginnings and celebrate the season.
